I love my regal spider cone resonator . I bought it used for $96 back around 2000. It came hotrodded with a Barcus Barry humbucker. This machine came with an adjustable tension spring that let's me sound more like a guitar when it's a 1/8 turn tighter , and more like a squonky metal body when it was 1/8 turn looser. Regal used to be carried by Musicians Friend , but I bought mine at the east coast music mall in Danbury ct.

Great video Tony! Lots of info on bracing which is super cool. Tom Sands guitars are just works of art and they sound amazing too. Daisy Tempest has her own shop now and UA-cam channel. She makes guitars and sells them. Lots has changed since 2019. Do you know the science behind the split saddle on the Lowdens? Why are the B and high E separated and angled slightly different?

“Parasite” is easily my favorite Nick Drake song. The intro chromatic descending melody buried under the rest of the harmony is eerily beautiful. The lyrics are some that I can relate to and feel more so than almost any other song I’ve ever heard.

Well this old goat learned something. For sixty fucking years I have been putting the treble strings on from the G to B to E high. And I have wondered when I get to the high E string why the other two are in the fucking way. I always have trouble with the high E string. God help me. There is hope sigh.........................lol

It’s all subjective. If you truly love the Martin guitar, Martin still does it the best. They have lots of different guitars at the high end that sound more like a great Martin than the competition. The others might be great guitars but they don’t sound like Martins. If you want the Martin sound there is one place to get it. Martin leads the entire world.
